Robber holds up Zillmere bottleshop with knives

A ROBBER armed with knives held up a BWS bottleshop at Zillmere in Northeast Brisbane on Saturday night (March 22), police media reported in a statement.

“Initial investigations indicate that around 7.30pm a man entered the Handford Rd business armed with two knives and approached the man at the counter, demanding money,” the statement said.

After taking cash and property, the man fled on foot towards Pretoria St.

Police said they were unable to find the robber, who was described as being of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander in appearance, about 178cm tall and wearing long black pants, a purple hooded jumper, a black cap. He was carrying a red backpack.

No one was physically injured and investigations were continuing.
