MORE than 30 business leaders from the northern Brisbane business community gathered to share business tips and advice at the Brisbane North Chamber of Commerce Night Owl event at the Kedron-Wavell RSL on Monday night, April 7.

President Simon Penrose said the community was a great way to connect with other businesses in the area and last night’s group was a friendly bunch, willing to share advice and offer support.

“It’s a great community and it’s growing all the time,” Mr Penrose said. “Everyone likes coming for a drink and a chat,” he said.

The group also learned the keys to spotting a lie and got tips from expert Jeremy Kesby, whose business Investicoach helps businesses spot fraudsters and liars.

“There are many myths surrounding the business of spotting a lie, but when you understand the research behind body language you can start to learn how to tell when someone is lying,” he said.
