THE honours were shared when Kedron-Wavell met Valley in the top divisions of Brisbane’s men’s and women’s hockey competitions on Saturday.

Kedron-Wavell got revenge over Valley, the team that beat them in last year’s Brisbane Womens Hockey Association grand final, by winning 2-0 Burringbar Park at Chermside.

New recruits Britt Noffke and Savannah Fitzpatrick scored the goals for the Wolves, who sit in second position on the ladder behind Easts, their next opponents.

Kedron-Wavell’s men fell 2-1 to Valley in their Brisbane Hockey League match at Mary Nairn Fields at Redcliffe.

Following a goalless first half, Luke Evans opened the scoring for winless Kedron-Wavell but two quick goals from Hewy Rendell handed Valley their first win of the season.

Kedron-Wavell, who face Commercial this weekend, sit in ninth position on the ladder, ahead of Redcliffe on goal difference.
