POLICE were today (Sunday) grilling three men over an armed robbery at Nundah hotel last night (Saturday) in which a female staffer was hurt.

Cash and guns were later found at Nundah. Police media did not reveal the name of the Sandgate Rd hotel.

They reported: “It is alleged that around 2am two men, both armed with a firearm, entered the Sandgate Rd business. The men were dressed in dark clothing.

“The men threatened staff members and smashed a glass panel. Two female staff were forced to retrieve cash from an office area and the men fled on foot.

“It is believed there was a third man in a nearby car.”

Glass cuts to face

Police media said one of the women sustained cuts on her face from the broken glass. No-one else was injured.

“As police arrived, they saw a dark coloured sedan leaving the rear car park and located the car a short time later after it crashed on Peary St at Northgate.”

Police searches located two firearms and a bundle of cash at Nundah.

Three men were “assisting police with the investigation”, police media said.
